  1.           LASI System Installation from Networked ZIP Files
  2.  
  3.   The files of the LASI CAD System have been broken into three groups for
  4.   better downloading. These are named LASI43?A.ZIP, LASI43?B.ZIP and
  5.   LASI43?C.ZIP, where "?" represents the revision number digit (1-9). 
  6.   They are compressed using PKZIP 2.0.
  7.  
  8.   To install follow these 4 steps:

  10.   1. Create a subdirectory named "\LASI4" on your hard disk, directly
  11.      under the root directory.
  12.  
  13.   2. Uncompress and copy the files in LASI43?A.ZIP, LASI43?B.ZIP and 
  14.      LASI43?C.ZIP into the \LASI4 subdirectory, using PKUNZIP 2.0 or 
  15.      similar program. You MUST have the files from ALL three groups.

  17.   3. Add the path "disk:\LASI4" to DOS using the "PATH" DOS Command,
  18.      where "disk" is the hard disk's letter name.
  19.  
  20.   4. Make \LASI4 the default directory and run the help program LHI.EXE
  21.      by simply typing "lhi". This will allow you to conveniently read the 
  22.      main LASI help text file LHI.HLP. The help text is intended to be 
  23.      fairly intuitive, and will explain how LASI works and how to run it.

  27.             LASI Demonstration Installation from DEMO.ZIP
  28.  
  29.   A demonstration drawing has been included with LASI. This is a small
  30.   opamp IC layout that may be used as a tutorial when first learning LASI.
  31.   It may be installed by following these 4 steps:

  33.   1. Create a subdirectory under the \LASI4 subdirectory named
  34.      "\LASI4\DEMO" on your hard disk.
  35.  
  36.   2. Make the \LASI4\DEMO directory the default directory by typing
  37.      "cd\lasi4\demo".
  38.  
  39.   3. Copy DEMO.ZIP into the \LASI4\DEMO subdirectory and using PKUNZIP 2.0
  40.      or similar program uncompress the demonstration files.
  41.  
  42.   4. Run the help program LHI.EXE by typing "lhi demo.hlp". This will
  43.      let you conveniently read the demonstration help text. Read the
  44.      Demonstration Setup help topic and follow its instructions.
